Institutional Training for IAS Probationers
Institutional Training for the IAS Probationers of 2017 batch of Himachal Pradesh Cadre comprising Sh. Zaffar Iqbal, Sh. Shivam Pratap Singh, Ms. Kiran Badana, Ms. Nivedita Negi and Ms. Saumya Jha has started at HIPA on 21.05.2018. Besides, call on to H.E., the Governor of Himachal Pradesh, the Hon’ble Chief Minister, the Chief Secretary and the Senior Officers of the State Govt.; the Probationers also attended the class room sessions at Institute.
The maiden exposure training on the basic terminology of revenue administration alongwith practical training on land settlement & measurement of land has been organised for the batch, itself. In order to evolve better coordination with the officers in the field, joint class room sessions were organised with HAS & Allied Services' Officers.
The Probationers also interacted with the field level functionaries & citizens at large by attending the 1st Jan Manch organised by the State Govt. at Solan and Shimla Districts. To gain better understanding of the State, the Probationers were taken on a study tour to the tribal area of the Kinnar & Lahaul-Spiti Districts.
As a part of their Institutional Training, these probationers witnessed proceedings of the State Cabinet, with permission from the Govt. The Institutional Training has been coordinated by Sh. C. P. Verma, IAS, Director, HIPA.
For their next phase of training, i.e. the District Training, these probationers have joined at the District Headquarters of Hamirpur, Sirmaur, Kangra, Mandi and Bilaspur Districts, respectively, where they will remain on various attachments till the middle of May 2019.
