The Institute is conducting the Professional Course for a Batch of 15 HAS Officers, comprising of 7 Officers from the Tehsildar background, 5 from the Development background and 3 Direct Recruits (Probationers) of 2017 batch. During their professional training, the Officers are being given inputs on General Administration, Law & Order, Revenue & Development Administration, Criminal Law & Procedure, Role & Responsibilities as Executive Magistrate, Computers, Weapon Training, Motor Driving and many other topics of day-to-day relevance to them.

This time, the training has been oriented with maximum practical exposure by attending the sessions delivered by prominent speakers, serving as well as retired, who have the practical experience of handling such type of assignments. The Institute has also tried to sharpen their professional as well as soft skills by conducting practical sessions on Public Speaking, Role Plays, Crowd/Crisis Management, Event Management and various Group Discussions on administrative issues including a Study-cum-Exposure Visit to the Tribal Areas of H.P. and J&K.

After completion of their Professional Course, Officers other than the Officers from Tehsildar background, shall undergo Revenue Training at the Revenue Training Institute, Joginder Nagar followed by an attachment to the Settlement Department for Settlement Training. Later-on the Probationers will also undergo the District Training before being posted in the field.
