Prevention of Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace
The Excise & Taxation Department, Government of Himachal Pradesh organized two days Workshop on “The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal Act-2013) from 7th to 8th May, 2018 for 13 Officers/officials of Excise & Taxation Department. The workshop was inaugurated by Ms. Tashi Katoch, Deputy Commissioner, Excise & Taxation Department, Government of Himachal Pradesh. The objective of the programme was to sensitize the Officers and officials of the Excise & Taxation Department, Government of Himachal Pradesh regarding concept of Gender and Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace under Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal Act-2013.
During the workshop, the emphasis was given on Gender Concept (What & Why Gender), Inequality: Needs, Issues and Concerns; The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal Act- 2013); Violence against Women; Safety & Gender Concerns in Himachal Pradesh.
Majority of participants rated the Workshop and performance of Faculty Excellent. The Chief Guest for the Valedictory session. During the valedictory session Ms. Jyoti Rana, HAS, Joint Director, HIPA presented concluding remarks and took the feedback regarding the programme from the participants and thereafter distributed the Certificates to the participants
