Civil Works training for Non Technical Officials
A training programme on Technical Training on Rural Civil Works for Non Technical officials of RD & PR Officials was organized for 3 days from 28.05.2018 to 30.05.2018. The course was attended by 27 participants who were BDOs, SEBPOs, Panchayat Secretaries, Sr. Assistants (Accounts & Progress), Panchayat Inspectors & Sub-Inspectors. The course contents included the topics viz. Categories of Technical works under different RD & PR programmes/schemes, Assessment & Estimation of Work under different categories, Field Monitoring, Inspection & Inquiry, Measurements & Calculation Methods, Schedule of Rates, Provisions of FRA & FCA and Water Conservation Practices through Mission Water Conservation (MWC). Participants were of the view that the Technical Training must include the exposure visit to link the technical works with the class room sessions. More usage of simulations will improve the quality of training imparted. The technical sessions were appreciated by all the trainees besides the logistics provided by the Institute. The course was sponsored by Rural Development & Panchayati Raj Department, H.P.
