The Institute run a campaign on Awareness Generation on Plastic Pollution from 11th September to 1st October 2019. It was ensured that

• immediately after the inauguration of each training programme all the concerned Course Director played the video: Tik Tik Plastic - #Beat Plastic Pollution Anthem Bhamla Foundation - Beat Plastic Pollution 03:55 as provided to them by Nodal Officer.

• One session on “Plastic Waste Management” and “Elimination of Single Use Plastic” was introduced in each & every Training Programme (Video clipping).
• The entire campus of the Institute was covered with hoardings/standees displaying key messages on plastic pollution and its elimination.

Under the plastic free campaign, an action plan was drawn for the Institute in which the following activities were undertaken on 2nd October 2019:

• The officers/officials residing within the campus along with HIPA Hospitality Cooperative Society Employees participated in the plastic waste collection within the campus (including hostels and residential area).
• 
  With the direction of Worthy Director HIPA, “SHRAMDAAN Campaign (Plastic Collection)” was organized at HIPA campus. Mrs. Jyoti Rana, Joint Director HIPA led the campaign and along with Officers and Officials of HIPA plastic was collected. Apart from this an awareness talk on single use plastic ban was also delivered by the Joint Director HIPA.  
• All the officers/officials ensured their participation in the SHRAMDAAN Campaign (Plastic Collection) at their respective place and shared photographs of the activities while participating in the campaign.

Recycling and effective disposal of collected plastic waste was undertaken as a campaign from 3rd to 27th October 2019 in which the campus officer of the Institute ensured the segregation and safe disposal of collected plastic waste.
