ToT on Sustainable Development Goals
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a new, universal set of goals, targets and indicators that 193 countries in the world have jointly set under the leadership of the United Nations. Himachal Pradesh has envisioned SDGs for attaining synergy between faster and inclusive economic growth, social cohesion and environmental sustainability in Himachal Pradesh to facilitate overall prosperity and quality of life for people of the State leaving no one behind. Keeping in view this spirit, the Training of Trainers Programme was organised from 10-14 September, 2018 for the officers who can be potential trainers/resource persons for the trainings scheduled in the in the year and future. The course aimed at developing the capacities and building deeper understanding of officers on Sustainable Development Goals for knowledge dissemination and their better implementation in the state, effectively for better execution with a higher impact on the life of people. The national level faculty including Dr. Suraj Kumar, Adviser Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences; Ms. Annie Namala, Executive Director, Centre for Social Equity and Inclusion; Sh. Pankaj Shrivastav, CEO, Tathyashodh Development Consultants; Mr. Satyabrata Chakrabarti, Technical Adviser (SDGs), NFI and Dr. Prabhat Mittal, Astt Prof., Delhi University were among the prominent resource persons in the training.
