Information and Communication Technology
Information and Communication Technology has the a potential to accelerate the growth. In this sequence, the Institute organized a five days training programme on the theme “Information and Communication Technology” during 09 to 13.07.2018. The programme was attended by the Principal’s, Agriculture Development Officer’s, Superintendent’s, JoA(IT), Health workers and Steno Typists of different departments of GoHP. The programme was started with the prologue to Information and Communication Technology and different open source tools were discussed in order to collect and analyse the data. Thereafter, the detailed discussions and hands-on training were carried out on data handling and presenting the information using MS- Excel and Google Sheets. The participants appreciated the session on Exploring IT tools for Office Management. The re-engineering process under e-Governance was discussed and the innovations like Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) and Integrated Grievance Redressal Management System (IGRMS) of ePDS, FCS were explained. The concept and applications of Cloud & Mobile Computing and Digital Payments were elaborated during the sessions. The participants learned about Cyber Security and various do’s and don’ts while surfing online. The participants appreciated the programme and showed up their interest to implement in their office work.
